Each bar is made by the traditional cold process method, in small batches. Cold pressed castor oil, coconut oil and rice bran oil are saponified to create a creamy, bubbly lather, while mango seed butter adds a conditioning, cushiony feel and a harder, longer-lasting bar. Rose water is used in the recipe for a gentle floral touch, rhubarb root powder provides a soft natural colour, and sea salt helps harden the bar.
The fragrance comes from rose geranium and palmarosa essential oils, which together give a fresh, rose-like scent that is floral and slightly green. There is no synthetic perfume.
