FAQ

 General

1. What makes Lilo Naturals different from regular skincare brands? All Lilo Naturals products are handcrafted in small batches using 100% natural ingredients. We use the cold process method for our soaps, and every product is free from parabens, SLS, sulphates, synthetic fragrances and harsh chemicals — what you put on your skin is as important as what you put in your body.

2. Are all your products free from harmful chemicals? Yes. Every Lilo Naturals product is formulated without parabens, SLS, sulphates, artificial colours or synthetic preservatives. We believe in clean, honest skincare that is kind to your skin and the environment.

3. Are your products suitable for kids and pregnant women? Most of our products are gentle enough for kids and pregnant women, but we always recommend checking the ingredient list for any known sensitivities. When in doubt, do a patch test first or consult your doctor. Our Calendula soap is especially gentle for sensitive and delicate skin.

4. Do you offer free shipping? Yes! Lilo Naturals offers free shipping on all orders over ₹199 across India.

5. Where are your products made? All Lilo Naturals products are handcrafted in India with love and care. We are proud to be a locally made, vocal-for-local brand using natural ingredients.

Soaps

6. What is cold process soap and why is it better? Cold process is a traditional soap-making method where oils and butters are combined at low temperatures, preserving all the natural nutrients, vitamins and moisturising properties of the ingredients. Unlike commercial soaps that strip skin of its natural oils, cold process soaps retain glycerin — a natural humectant that keeps your skin soft and hydrated.

7. How long does one soap bar last? With proper care, one bar typically lasts 3–4 weeks with daily use. To make it last longer, keep it on a well-draining soap dish away from direct water — never let it sit in a puddle of water.

8. How do I choose the right soap for my skin type? We've made it easy! Each soap is labelled with the skin type it's best suited for - Dry Skin, Oily Skin, All Skin Types or Sensitive Skin. For example, our Activated Charcoal and Tea Tree Charcoal soaps work well for oily skin, while Shea Olive, Lavender and Gulab are great for dry skin. Our Calendula bar is perfect for sensitive skin.

9. Will your soaps dry out my skin? No - unlike commercial soaps that contain detergents and strip your skin's natural oils, our cold process soaps retain glycerin which actively moisturises your skin during every wash. Most customers notice softer, less dry skin within a week of switching.

10. Do your soaps lather well? Yes! Our soaps produce a rich, creamy lather. The lather may feel different from commercial soaps (which use SLS to create artificial foam), but it cleanses just as effectively — and far more gently.

Shampoo Bars

11. Will there be a transition period when I switch to a shampoo bar? Yes, it's normal to experience a 1–2-week transition period as your scalp adjusts from sulphate-based shampoos to a natural bar. Your hair may feel waxy or heavy initially. This passes as your scalp rebalances its natural oil production. Stick with it — most customers love their hair after the transition!

12. How many washes does one shampoo bar last? One shampoo bar typically lasts 40-50 washes, making it far more economical than a regular bottle of shampoo. Store it on a dry soap dish between uses to maximise its life.

13. Are your shampoo bars suitable for colour-treated hair? Our shampoo bars are sulphate-free and gentle, making them safer for colour-treated hair than most commercial shampoos. However, we recommend doing a patch test first as individual hair care needs vary.

Conditioner Bar

14. How do I use a solid conditioner bar? Rub the bar between your palms to warm it up, then glide it along the length of your hair focusing on mid-lengths and ends. Alternatively, rub it directly on your hair. Leave for 1–2 minutes then rinse thoroughly. A little goes a long way!

15. Will the conditioner bar make my hair greasy? Not if used correctly. Apply only to the mid-lengths and ends — avoid the scalp and roots. Using too much product is the most common reason for greasiness. Start with a small amount and adjust based on your hair's needs.

Deodorant

16. Does your natural deodorant really work? Yes! Our deodorant cream is formulated with odour-neutralising natural ingredients like Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Jojoba and Almond Oil. It effectively controls body odour throughout the day. Note that it is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant — it does not block sweat, which is a natural and healthy bodily function.

17. Will your deodorant stain my clothes? Our deodorant is formulated to minimise staining. Allow it to absorb fully into the skin for 1–2 minutes before dressing to avoid any transfer. Using a small amount goes a long way.

18. How do I apply the deodorant cream? Scoop a small pea-sized amount using your fingertip and apply directly to clean, dry underarms. Massage gently until fully absorbed. A little goes a long way — start small and adjust as needed.

Lip Balm

19. How do I reduce lip pigmentation with your lip balms? Our Gulab and Ghee lip balms are specifically formulated to address pigmentation. Use consistently twice daily — once in the morning and once before bed. Results are typically visible within 3–4 weeks of regular use. Avoid licking your lips and stay hydrated for best results.

20. Are your lip balms safe to ingest? Our lip balms are made with food-grade natural ingredients like A2 Cow Ghee, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil — all of which are skin-safe and non-toxic. While they are not intended to be eaten, small accidental ingestion is not harmful.

Mosquito Repellent

21. Is Bug Me Not safe for children? Bug Me Not is made with plant-based ingredients and is free from DEET and harsh chemicals, making it much safer than conventional repellents. For children under 3, we recommend consulting a pediatrician before use. Always apply on clothing or exposed skin and avoid eyes, mouth and hands for young children.
